Last night's post "broke" the news that a Point Break 2 sequel is in the works.
Here's some more details from the folks at IESB:
"The IESB has uncovered story details from the upcoming sequel to Point Break!
No, its not called Point Break 2: Electric Boogaloo instead it will be called Point Break Indo.
The original 1991 film starred Keanu Reeves, Patrick Swayze and Gary Busey and brought in a total box office haul of over 80 million dollars.
There has been no casting news even though the production company is believed to have reached out to both Reeves and Swayze, we also know that the movie will take place Indonesia, hence Point Break Indo, clever.
Jan de Bont will be directing and the production company believes that they will be filming the "most extreme action stunts ever caught on camera."
So what will the story be about? Here is your first look at the sequels' synopsis.
When Billy Dalton, military special ops and star surfer, is disqualified from the pro-surfing tour, he takes off for the coast of Bali looking for the perfect wave. While there he’s recruited by a private security force who are trying to find a gang known as The Bush Administration, surfing outlaws and modern day pirates who work like “The Ex-Presidents,” a bank robbing crew from Malibu twenty years ago."

Hey Blue,
Dude, there are two things you don't joke about when making a great movie into a sequel. They are Point Break and Fight Club. Just leave them the way they were and life goes on. Plus, isn't Patrick Swayze dying of cancer and come on he died in the 50 ft wave. There's just no coming back from that ask B. White. Well anyways get back to what u know best and that is Lakers and Wrestling. Later Poff Daddy
Well, the funny thing about that is not only are they apparently doing a Point Break sequel - if you were paying attention when I wrote about it before, apparently they're making Fight Club into a musical! Not a sequel but amazingly awesome... or crazy... depending on your thought process.
And dammit, I "know best" a lot more than Lakers and wrestling!
Hi, Billy Mays here with Piss-B-Gone! I'm going to go ahead and call it - Point Break 2 will be a flop. If it doesn't go straight to DVD (the way Roadhouse 2 did) it will be poorly reviewed and have short lived box office life. Additionally, I have nothing but contempt for the upcoming G.I. Joe movie - that's right - CONTEMPT. This movie will really have to wine, dine, and, of course, 69 me.
